PawTrait Privacy Policy
Effective 22 September 2026 · Developer: Kenan Atasoy
PawTrait turns your photos into AI-generated artwork. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The short version: we don't have accounts, we don't run ads or analytics, and we don't keep your photos.
What the app processes
- Photos you choose. When you pick a photo, it is sent — only for that request — to our image service so an AI model can create your portrait. You choose each photo yourself; the app never scans your library.
- Prompts you type. If you create or edit an image with a text prompt, that text is sent the same way.
- A random device identifier. The app generates a random ID (not linked to you, your Apple ID, or any account) so we can apply fair-use limits to image generation. It cannot be used to identify you.
How generation works
Your photo or prompt goes to a small server we run (on Cloudflare) that forwards it to Google's Gemini API, which generates the image and returns it to your phone. Our server does not store your photos, prompts, or results — each request is processed and discarded. Google processes the request under its own API terms and privacy policy; we do not share your data with anyone else.
What we don't do
- No user accounts, sign-in, or profiles.
- No advertising, no ad tracking, no analytics SDKs.
- No selling or sharing of your data.
- No access to your photo library beyond the photos you pick.
Purchases
Subscriptions and credit packs are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
Your creations
Finished portraits are saved on your device only. Deleting them in the app, or deleting the app, removes them.
Children
PawTrait is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date.
